About Us:

Ekvacio is seeking a Proposal Grant Writer to support the preparation of federal, state, and private grant proposals on behalf of small businesses and startups. We assist startups and ventures in securing vital seed- and pre-seed funding to drive innovation, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a contractor on a project-to-project basis. This position is remote, and we welcome applicants from any location on US territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and develop high-quality proposals for R&D grants and other scientific/technical funding opportunities.

• Review and improve R&D project plans, business plans, and teams presentations including CVs/resumes.

• Work closely with Client and Ekvacio writing teams to collect the necessary information and craft compelling, detailed proposals.

• Conduct literature research, including in peer-reviewed sources, to support proposals.

• Ensure compliance with all technical and formatting guidelines outlined by funding agencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in progress, completed, or incomplete/ABD in fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, Engineering, or related disciplines.

• "ABD" (All But Dissertation) is accepted as long as significant progress was made in studies.

• Strong command of written and spoken English (Fluent or Native level).

• Ability to research, write, and communicate complex scientific and technical concepts clearly and concisely.

• Previous experience in grant writing or research proposal preparation is not mandatory.

• Open to individuals with any current employment status, including part-time, full-time, or those pursuing studies, including OPT.
